Anything less than a first win of the season against the Saints could spell the end of O'Neil's tenure at Molineux.
Ahead of the crucial fixture the head coach hinted he may not be in charge after the international break without a win.
"It depends for what reason, but we need three points," O'Neil said when asked if it was a must-win game.
"We needed three points against Crystal Palace and Brighton and we didn't get them.
