Williams was forced off in the 78th minute during Walsall's 2-1 victory over Bolton Wanderers at Bescot in the FA Cup first round last Saturday.

The 22-year-old suffered a nasty collision with the advertising hoardings and went to hospital in the immediate aftermath of the incident.

Walsall confirmed the following day that Williams had been released from hospital after scan had revealed "no further internal damage".

However, the club will now follow concussion protocol and Sadler has revealed that Williams will miss the visit of Crewe on the weekend and Shrewsbury Town in the EFL Trophy on Tuesday at the very least.

He said: "He'll be out for both games unfortunately (against Crewe and Shrewsbury) but we're fortunate we've got a good squad.

"Once the adrenaline left his body, he was very soar and we made sure that he had all the tests that he needed to make sure that he wasn't going to go home at any point and something sinister pops up.

"So we are thankful, fortunate and lucky that everything was fine. So touch wood he goes through the stages that he needs to go through now to be able to be declared fit.

"Clearly Harry needs to go through a period of rest and recovery but as soon as everything settles down and every marker gets ticked. Hopefully we'll see him back sooner rather than later.

Williams has made 16 appearances for the Saddlers in all competitions this term and has scored once in 10 matches in League Two.
