After 10 Premier League games, Gary O'Neil's side are without a win and have just three points on the board.

It is only the third time in Wolves' 147-year history that they have failed to win any of their opening 10 league games, after going 10 without a win in 1926/27 and 14 without victory in 1983/84.

Wolves have performed well in some of their 10 games this season and still came away with disappointing results, but the statistics make for grim reading as worrying trends emerge.

Without any doubt, the biggest on-field concern facing Wolves is their defence.

It is perhaps unfair to combine statistics from this season and the last campaign due to Wolves' long injury list at the end of 2023/24, but it would be disingenuous to disregard figures that have the fan base concerned – and the numbers speak for themselves as Wolves struggle to contain the opposition.

They have managed just two clean sheets in 28 Premier League games throughout the whole of 2024 and with both of those games coming last season, Wolves are now on a run of 22 top-flight fixtures without keeping a clean sheet.

That has coincided with a run of just one Premier League win in 20 games, which came in a relatively underwhelming 2-1 victory over relegated Luton on April 27.

Focusing solely on this season, Wolves have conceded 27 goals in 10 matches, the worst record in the Premier League and six adrift of the second worst team in newly-promoted Ipswich.

Of those 27, Wolves have conceded nine goals from set pieces – again taking top spot.
