Attacker Heard, who turned 20 last month, has penned an initial one-month loan deal with the Pics and checks in on the eve of an historic tie at Dales Lane.

Adam Stevens' Rushall welcome League Two Accrington Stanley to their home on Saturday for a first FA Cup first round tie in the Pics' 131-year history.

Diminutive playmaker Heard is available to feature against Stanley and is in line to make his Rushall bow on one of the biggest occasions in the National League North club's story.

Great Barr-born Heard made his senior debut for Carlos Corberan's Albion last season in the FA Cup third round against Aldershot Town of the National League. He caught the eye that day and is highly thought of by Corberan and the club's academy staff.

Heard commanded interest while out of contract in the summer but penned a one-year contract with the option for another, in the club's favour.

Rushall boss Stevens has told his troops to relax and go into the historic tie with no fear.

The Pics are winless in four league games but made the first round for the first time courtesy of a penalty shootout replay success at Peterborough Sports in the last round.
