EFL Trophy: Who did Walsall, Wolves, West Brom and Aston Villa draw?
Walsall, Wolves U21's, West Brom U21's and Aston Villa U21's have all received their group draws ahead of the upcoming 2020/21 EFL Trophy.
Walsall have been drawn in Group D (Northern section) alongside Bristol Rovers, Oxford United and Chelsea U21's.
Darrell Clarke's men will be hoping for another trip to Wembley after losing to Bristol City in the 2015 final.
Wolves U21’s are in Group F (Northern section) with Bradford City, Doncaster Rovers and Oldham Athletic.
James Collins will lead the Wolves under-21 side after they lost in the second round to Salford City last season.
Salford are still yet to play the final of last season’s competition, due to Covid-19 putting an end to the League One and League Two campaigns.
Aston Villa's U21's join Sunderland, Carlisle and Fleetwood Town in Group A (Northern section) of the competition.
Villa's youngsters will be hoping for a deeper run after losing both group games last season.
West Brom U21's have been drawn in Group E of the Southern section and will face Exeter City, Forest Green Rovers and Swindon Town.
This season’s format once again sees 16 invited Academy teams joined by the 48 Clubs in League One and League Two.
The first matchweek of fixtures scheduled to take place on the week beginning 7th September, culminating in a final at Wembley Stadium on Sunday 14th March 2021.
