Follow Suit was the first winner back in the city, but there were no fans to cheer 14/1 Irish raider over the line, with meetings taking place behind closed doors for the forseeable future.

Testing procedures were in place to monitor those who were allowed into the meeting – including jockeys, while social distancing was also in effect and signs in place to remind people to wear masks.

It was the start of a busy week for the racecourse, with an afternoon meeting following today – as well as further races taking place tomorrow.
