Aaron Rai's success is lauded
Aaron Rai’s European Tour triumph has been heralded – by the place it all began for the golfer.
The 23-year-old, from Wolverhampton, was victorious at the Hong Kong Open on Sunday – almost two decades on from when he struck his first hole in one at 3 Hammers Golf Complex in Coven.
Complex owner Ian Bonser said: “We are delighted to hear of Aaron’s success. Aaron has been a regular player at 3 Hammers for almost 20 years and has honed a fantastic short game playing on our Sir Henry Cotton-designed short course. He is a truly dedicated and gifted golfer proving that anyone can achieve their dreams with talent and hard work.
“It’s been amazing to watch his progress over the years and I wish him every success in the future.”
Rai is up to a career-high 122nd in the world rankings.
