Evans, who enjoyed a bye into the knockout stages of the tournament, beat Rebecca Kenna 4-0 in the final.

In fact, she did not lose a single frame throughout her four wins en route to the crown.

World number one Ng On Yee, who beat Evans in last year’s final, was absent and Evans took advantage.

The 33-year-old began this past weekend at the South West Snooker Academy in Gloucester with a 3-0 defeat of Louise Cothier.

She then won by the same scoreline against Chloe White in the last eight, before 4-0 victories over Emma Parker and Kenna.

It is a second win of the season for Evans – after coming on top in the European Women’s Masters, in Belgium in October.
