Karolina Pliskova set for Nature Valley Classic Birmingham
World No.6 Karolina Pliskova has become the latest big name to be added to the draw for next month’s Nature Valley Classic in Birmingham.
Pliskova will face the likes of five-times Grand Slam champion Maria Sharapova, reigning Wimbledon champion Garbine Muguruza, double SW19 winner Petra Kvitova and British No.1 Johanna Konta. Fan favourite Dominika Cibulkova was also added to the field yesterday.
Patrick Hughesman, tournament director for the event at Edgbaston Priory Club, said: “It’s testament to the prestige and reputation that the tournament has built up that so many world class players want to be part of it.”
