Cold weather takes its toll on Wolverhampton races
Wolverhampton races were abandoned yesterday due to snow and ice on public and equine areas.
The decision was made yesterday morning following an inspection.
Though the all-weather track was fine for racing, the racecourse management decided the pathways for both visitors and horses were unsafe.
The meeting is being re-staged today.
