The Evo-Stik League Premier Division side pulled off a spectacular win against their League One opponents, a team four divisions above them, taking them through to the third round of the FA Cup for the first time in the club's history thanks to Jack Duggan's dramatic winner.

Gater, who came on as a second-half substitute, praised the fans, as well as his personal friends and family, who roared the team to victory: "There's no greater feeling than playing for all your friends and family in the crowd.

"They didn't disappoint, the fans were incredible, the adrenaline is great with the atmosphere like that."

He also praised the team and revealed his pride at playing for his home town club: "It was a great feeling coming off the bench and playing for my home town club, with a great group of lads that made it happen, I'm proud of the way they played." Stourbridge now face League Two Wycombe on January 7.
