Roll of quarters in Development competition
Most of the participants left in the England Development Championships will have to box national quarter-final ties.
Last eight battles will take place at the Riddings Sports Hall in Scunthorpe on Sunday with a number of West Midlands champions still involved,
One of two sections features the juniors, all entrants of between two to 10 bouts of experience, separated into two age ranges. Class A is for boxers born in 2001, while Class B is for 2000.
Coming into the competition after byes at 70kg in Class A is Josh Jeavons, from Priory Park Boxing Club in Dudley. He takes on Cain Quinn, of Aldercar & Langley Mill in Derbyshire.
William Evans, from Willenhall Town, bowed out at 57kg in last weekend's pre-quarters, on the losing side on a points split decision to West Wirral's Anthony Atherton-West.
Kane Woods, from Wildstar in Walsall, also enters the reckoning at 63kg in Class B as he's paired with Callum Heagney, from Sileby Boxing Academy in Leicestershire.
Wolverhampton Boxing Club's Ryan Cotterell goes up against James Ling, of Empire in Bristol, with the contest made an 80kg semi-final as there are only two other entrants at the weight.
Ruby Scott, from the Right Stuff in Stafford, won't figure on the female side of the juniors at 57kg in Class A until the semis.
The seniors, for boxers aged 17 and upwards, is divided into two classes by experience. Class A is for 2-10 bouts, with Class B 11-20 contests
McKenzie Stevens, from Brooklands in Dudley, was eliminated at 81kg in Class A after his quarter-final against Knowsley Vale's David Maudsley.
Stevens came into the fray nursing a jaw injury and, amid fears of a bad break, was retired by his corner during the third round as they conceded the result.
Hosea Stewart, from Firewalker in Wolverhampton, was due to tackle South Cheshire's Josh Flood in a 91kg heavyweight contest, only for his opponent to fail a medical.
Stewart progressed without boxing and next steps back through the ropes to take on Billy Lee Watkins, from South Derbyshire.
Wolverhampton's Clayton Bricknell, who now represents the Jewellery Quarter in Birmingham, is awaiting the semis after benefitting from two walkovers at 64kg in Class B.
Bricknell, who won his last Development outing by second round TKO, first learned Wirral's Jay Holmes had been taken unwell ahead of last weekend.
He was due to take on Jack Corcoran, from South Normanton in Derbyshire, on Sunday. Corcoran holds a victory over Bricknell but now he's pulled out, too.
Robert Thoane, from Lions in Dudley, was defeated on a split in his 75kg quarter-final against Birkenhead Venture's Anthony Baker.
Warley's Coree Clarke, now a senior after reaching a national final and winning the gold medal at the Three Nations as a Youth fighter, again has a bye in the 91kg heavyweight division.
Walsall Wood's Kelly Hickenbottom has a long wait to box a straight final in the female seniors at 57kg, with only one other entrant at the weight nationwide.
Club-mate Emeline Serra will meet Priory Park's Paige Dudley in a 64kg Class A quarter-final where another Wood girl, Omarah Taylor, has been paired with Aston's Elina Ingram at 75kg.
