The 21-year-old midfielder set up two goals and pulled the strings all afternoon from his number 10 position, as Aidy Boothroyd's unbeaten team ended their qualification for next year's European U21 Championships in style.

Wolves youngster Dominic Iorfa completed 90 minutes at right-back and Albion loanee Brendan Galloway played a whole game at left-back, but it was Grealish and 19-year-old Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham who stood out.

Abraham, who's already scored eight Championship goals on loan at Bristol City, bagged two for the Young Lions to take his total tally for club and country this season to 13.

Having already qualified for next year's tournament in Poland, Boothroyd gave some of his squad players an opportunity to impress.

But it didn't take long for the unbeaten group leaders to assert their dominance over the winless Bosnians.

John Swift opened the scoring in the 14th minute with an unstoppable dipping effort past Kenan Piric after a typically incisive pass from Grealish, moments after Boothroyd had told the Reading winger to go and find the ball.

England doubled their lead just four minutes later when Abraham acrobatically mopped up a rebound from Josh Onomah's initial shot.

Tammy Abraham scores the first of his two goals

England were so dominant that Iorfa and Galloway found themselves pushing deep into the Bosnia half, and 10 minutes before half-time, Iorfa's burst to the byline set up a chance for Duncan Watmore, but this time Piric palmed the shot away to safety.

The visitors did manage to test Christian Walton in the England goal before the interval, when Armin Cerimagic's effort forced him into an impressive full-stretch save, but it was one-way traffic for most of the match.

Alongside the grace of Grealish, the industry of Onomah was helping control the game, and the Tottenham midfielder got the goal his efforts deserved straight after half-time, swivelling on a loose ball in the box and firing it into the bottom corner.

Watmore extended the lead just after the hour mark, timing his run perfectly to reach a delicate chip through from Grealish before tucking the ball past Piric with ease.

The Sunderland man then turned provider, slipping Abraham through before the in-form striker completed the rout with an exquisite dink over Piric.
