Dean Keates signs for Rushall Olympic
Rushall Olympic have announced the signing of former Walsall midfielder Dean Keates.
Keates, a favourite of the Saddlers' faithful over his two spells at the club, will play for the Pics in the Evo-Stik Premier this season.
The 38-year-old has made more than 400 appearances in the Football League, starting out at the Saddlers, where he won promotions to Division One in the 1998-99 and 2000-01 seasons.
He moved to Hull City in 2002 and was part of the squad that went up to the third tier in 2003-04.
Stints at Kidderminster Harriers and Lincoln City followed before a return to Walsall for the 2006-07 term, in which he scored 13 goals as the club made it back to League One.
The fifth and sixth promotions of his career came at Peterborough United.
He moved to Wycombe Wanderers, spent five years with Wrexham and played for Rhyl in the Welsh Premier League last season.
Keates also coaches the Wrexham Glyndwr Academy side, who Rushall will face in a friendly at Dales Lane on Thursday July 28.
He will be in John Allen's squad for tonight's friendly at home to Nuneaton Town (7.30pm).
