Transfer Rumours: July 14
Expressandstar.com bring you all of the latest transfer talk from Wolves, West Brom, Aston Villa and Walsall.
We are not saying they are true – just that they are out there.
WOLVES
Rumours alongside the club's takeover is that Wolves will launch an astonishing £21million move for Brazilian Anderson Talica.
Talk has raged for weeks that Chinese billionaire Robin Li is close to buying Wolves, with super agent Jorge Mendes brokering the deal.
Should that come to pass, Li's wealth could make the club major players in the transfer market as they look to reach the Premier League.
That is where Talica, who plays for Portuguese side Benfica, would come in as he's also a client of Mendes, as is Cristiano Ronaldo and Jose Mourinho.
Liverpool were down the line with a move for Talica but have encountered difficulties with a work permit, which could lead to the deal being called off.
The 22-year-old would find it easier to cut through the red tape if he joined a Championship team, such are the rules, and Wolves might soon have the spending power.
WEST BROM
Another big-money move has seen Premier League rivals West Brom and Stoke City apparently told by Juventus they want around £2om for Mario Lemina.
The Italian giants have signed the Gabon midfielder, 22, permanently in an £8.5m deal this summer after making his season-long loan permanent.
They might be persuaded to sell but would want, at least, double their money for a move. Watford and champions Leicester City have also been linked.
ASTON VILLA
Aston Villa are keeping tabs on Preston North End full-back Greg Cunningham and hope to capitalise on the player's international ambitions.
The Republic of Ireland defender was overlooked for his country's Euro 2016 squad, despite being named the Fans' and Players' Player of the Season at club level.
The 25-year-old was a near ever-present for Preston and is now entering the final year of his contract at Deepdale, with Villa possibly set to come calling.
The claret and blues will be Championship rivals next season but still possess name value, which might sway Cunningham into fancying the switch.
WALSALL
Premier League titlists Leicester City are the latest to be linked to Walsall's teenage left-back Rico Henry, whose list of suitors appears to be growing by the day.
The reigning champions are keen to strengthen their squad for next season and have scouted £1.5m-rated Henry, as have fellow big guns Liverpool and Arsenal.
West Ham appear to be in front of Championship outfit Leeds for the 19-year-old, having loaned Walsall midfielder George Dobson to build up a good relationship with the Saddlers.
But West Ham might not be able to compete with the attraction joining City, Liverpool or Arsenal, who will have title aspirations again, would offer to the England Under-19 international.
