Holders Merseyside put Albion under increasing pressure as the league turned into a two-horse race for glory, but the Black Country boys rose to the challenge to claim the title with two games to go.

The team's success has been recognized with call ups to the England side as Robin Williams, goalkeeper Dylan Malpas and Mo Ahmed all donned the Three Lions this year.

Former GB Paralympic star Darren Harris once again topped the scoring charts after retiring from international football this season.

"It's been a fantastic achievement to claim the title again and testament to the players have they have responded exactly how we have asked in games and committed themselves 100 per cent in each and every game we have played," said disability development officer Adam Crowle.

"We now look forward to competing in the FA Peoples Cup final on the May 7 at St Georges Park, so we ask as many WBA fans as possible to come and cheer on the boys."

The Albion Foundation are always looking to develop disability football and are constantly searching for new players. For more information please get in touch with Adam Crowle by phone on 07714108024 or contact him on adam.crowle@albionfoundation.co.uk
