Transfer Rumours - January 12
Expressandstar.com bring you all of the latest transfer talk from Wolves, West Brom, Aston Villa and Walsall.
We are not saying they are true – just that they are out there.
WOLVES-WALSALL
Wolves are one of four clubs that could offer Walsall left-back Rico Henry a step up while remaining in the Midlands, sources suggest.
Premier League big guns Manchester United, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City have all watched the 18-year-old recently.
Aston Villa have also been linked, but are more concerned with maintaining their status in the top-flight, while Leicester City and Derby County are keeping tabs.
Wolves are another close to home and could offer the teenager a more realistic path to the first-team, with their 'young and hungry' policy.
They are armed with some of the Benik Afobe cash, too, after their star striker joined Bournemouth for a fee around the £10million mark.
WEST BROM
West Brom are apparently seriously interested in bringing much-wanted Brentford defender James Tarkowski to the Hawthorns this month.
The Bees have rejected a bid of £2.5m from Burnley for Tarkowski, who is wanted by another two Championship rivals in Derby and Sheffield Wednesday.
The 23-year-old could yet find another route into the Premier League with Norwich City, but the Baggies might hijack the move instead.
ASTON VILLA
Aston Villa are lining up a loan approach for out-of-favour Leicester City midfielder Gokhan Inler as they battle against the drop.
Sources in Turkey claim the 31-year-old wants first-team football to safeguard his Switzerland place at the summer's European Championship.
A temporary move to Villa Park could suit Inler, who wants to shine regularly at club level and make sure he's ready for the international call.
