The Jones boys are in the money
Stourbridge-based pipe fitter Adam Jones topped a 26-strong field set up around the Owl, Hawk and Swallow Pools at Monkhall Fisheries, near Bridgnorth.
Jones (Monkhall) left the others standing with an 89-8-0 individual top catch made up of carp to 3lb, boosted by F1s to 2lb, which all fell to poled corn presented at 16 metres from Hawk peg 16.
Dave Parry (Decca AC) came second on Swallow peg nine with 53-8-0, edging Andy Rowbottom (ABC) into third with 49-8-0 from Hawk peg 10.
Jones and his father Carl (Maver) topped the pairs podium on the day with a combined weight of 122-12-0 to share £180 in prize money.
The same pools saw action in round three of the fishery's Sunday Individual League where Highley-based Chris Cadwallader (Monkhall) ran out a clear winner on Hawk peg 18 with 115-10-0.
Fishery owner Ben Stanford (Monkhall/MH Floats) was second with 85-13-0, ahead of Andy Welding (Monkhall), who landed 52-10-0.
League leader Cadwallader still heads the standings with two points and a weight tally of 176-2-0.

Bewdley's Mal Watson (DGL) bagged third place in round three of the Moorlands Farm Winter Pairs Series on the Silver and Meadow Pools of the Hartlebury complex.
Watson netted 48-13-0 of F1s to 3lb, caught on pole-fished pellet at Silver peg 27 to win his section, as did his partner, Wombourne-based Colin Pace (CPA), which saw them take the pairs' spoils on the day with a perfect two-point score.
Redditch-based Richard Kings (CPA) took top spot with 70-7-0.
