Chairman encourages Yeltz to show a ruthless side
Halesowen Town chairman Colin Brookes has called for the Yeltz to start being more ruthless in games after taking the lead.
According to Brookes, boss John Hill's side have dropped too many points – particularly at The Grove – from winning positions.
On Boxing Day, the Yeltz twice took the lead against arch-rivals Stourbridge but went on to lose 3-2.
Brookes said: "We've drawn far too many games where we've been in front.
"Teams have gone on to score late equalisers in the last minutes.
"But we're a young side. Most of the lads against Stourbridge were aged 23 and under.
"It's a season where we've had everything thrown at us and John has handled it so well.
"Last season we finished 11th with a settled side so if we can get into the top half again it would be fantastic."
Brookes is targetting the 50-point-mark this season – the Yeltz need 14 points to get there.
They will do so without forward Aaron Daniels, who has three goals this term, who has left to join Barwell.
Nathan Waite (knee) is doubtful for tomorrow's trip to Marine, who are 20th.
Town have fellow forward Michael Turner returning to partner 18-year-old Kaiman Anderson, who has three goals in two games since his loan deal from Shrewsbury Town.
Stourbridge, who are just five points from a play-off spot, welcome rock-bottom Ramsbottom United to Amblecote, while Richard Sneekes' Rushall Olympic face a visit to 12th-placed Frickley Athletic.
