The county men were looking for a reversal in fortunes against Guildford, following Saturday's 7-0 loss at Basingstoke Bison.

But it wasn't to be for The Tigers, who found themselves 2-0 down after just 10 minutes at Telford Ice Rink.

A goal from Jonathan Weaver on 14 minutes threatened to tip the balance in favour of Telford, but Guildford regained their two-goal cushion four minutes later.

Further strikes in the second period handed the visitors a healthy 5-1 advantage, before Joe Miller pulled a goal back at the start of the third session.

Any hopes of a comeback were quickly extinguished, however, as the Flames scored twice late on to seal victory.

On Saturday night, meanwhile, The Tigers suffered another reverse, losing 7-0 to Basingstoke.

The trip to Hampshire saw Telford go behind after just 13 minutes, before further strikes opened up a 3-0 cushion by the halfway point. Bison scored once more before the second interval, with three further goals in the final session.
