The Evo-Stik Division One South leaders raced into a 3-0 first-half lead with the conditions in their favour with goals from Wayne Daniel, Christian Dacres and Ben Haseley, before a Daniel own goal made it 3-1 at the break.

Nathan Rooney fired home a 78th-minute fourth goal for his side to complete the victory.

Rangers were ahead as early as the very first minute when Daniel headed home Rooney's left-wing corner. It was 2-0 five minutes later when Dacres put the ball into an empty net after Daventry keeper Ben Heath made a complete hash of an attempted clearance.

Haseley cut inside and rifled home Stafford's third goal before Daniel sliced a clearance over the head of keeper Adam Whitehouse to give Daventry some hope before Rooney's second-half sealer.
