We are not saying they are true – just that they are out there.

WOLVES

Wolves are expected to sign Newcastle United defender Mike Williamson on loan later today.

Williamson has fallen down the pecking order at St James' Park and Wolves have moved to sign him up on a one-month deal.

If he joins, the centre-half will help ease a growing injury crisis, with Kortney Hause and Ethan Ebanks-Landell on the sidelines.

Former Watford man Williamson has five seasons of Premier League football under his belt at St James' Park, where he has been a regular in the team up until this season.

WEST BROM

With West Brom boss Tony Pulis claiming loanee Serge Gnabry isn't "at that level to play the games," the Arsenal midfielder is almost certain to return to his parent club in January.

But Pulis could ask the Gunners if he can borrow France international Mathieu Debuchy, who can operate at right-back or in the middle of the park, instead. It would be an audacious move.

Arsenal were believed to have paid Newcastle United £12million for the 30-year-old in the summer of 2014, but he's found first-team opportunities limited this season.

He's been restricted to just one appearance in the Premier League, with the Baggies keen on testing the waters about his availability.

ASTON VILLA

Former Sunderland manager Gus Poyet, who is thought to be on the shortlist to replace Tim Sherwood at Villa, could be set to take charge of Greek giants AEK Athens.

Poyet reportedly due to arrive in Athens later today, where he will hold talks with AEK directors to replace Traianos Dellas. The club are currently third in the table after eight games.

WALSALL

All quiet at the Banks's Stadium today.
