Kennedy Digie saw a low effort saved by City goalkeeper Jas Singh before the Pitmen were awarded a penalty in the 32nd minute as Perry was fouled inside the box.

After waiting a couple of minutes, the striker slotted low into the bottom corner of the net despite the best efforts of Singh.

Five minutes into the second period, the visitors were level as Dave Parton and John Disney left the ball for each other and James Bowen was able to poke home over the Town keeper and into the net.

The Pitmen responded well though and Sean Williams was able to pick out Perry in the 58th minute and the forward was able to loop his header home over Singh and into the net.

Hednesford looked to have weathered the inevitable storm somewhat but were dealt a blow in the 88th minute when another City corner was this time headed home by striker Joe Parker to bring he scores level.

n An Alex Reid hat-trick helped Rushall Olympic come from behind to cap a convincing 4-1 win against Shepshed Dynamo in the FA Cup first round qualifier replay.

Shepshed took the lead on seven minutes through the pacey Michael Reeve.

Pics were level eight minutes before the break when Jack Roberts latched on to Malachi Farquharson's flick and dispatched the ball into the bottom corner from 18 yards.

That set the stage for Reid, who put the Pics in front five minutes before the interval and added another two in the second half.
