Club chairman Mac Webb, MBE, is reaching out to all players, committee members, parents, coaches, sponsors and managers from the last four decades, in a bid to reunite former team-mates and recall fond memories.

The weekend of celebration will take place at Brewood Cricket Club on Sunday at 1pm. There will be a large marquee, music, hot food, entertainment for children as well as junior football games.

The guest of honour is Dan Ashworth, technical director of elite development at the Football Association and a former BJFC parent.

Wolverhampton referees association chairman Phil Male and Wolves' academy assistant recruitment officer Bob Bennett will also be in attendance.

Celebrations are already well underway, as the club held a 40th anniversary five-a-side festival for six age groups for clubs from all across the region.

For the first time two Brewood Juniors sides won their respective age groups, with the under-9s beating Stafford Town in their final and the under-11s overcoming Crewe Cavaliers to lift the silverware.

The trophies were presented to the teams by Brewood and Coven Parish Council chairperson Jan Jefferies.

Brewood are keen for anyone who has been involved with the club at any level to support the event and use it as an opportunity to catch up with old friends, coaches and team-mates.
