Leaders are stunned by the basement boys

Wolverhampton stunned leaders Kidderminster Victoria to move off the foot of the Birmingham & District League Premier Division table.

Andy Bowyer took 4-29 as Kidderminster were restricted to 117-9 in 28 overs, Michael Hill top scoring with 37.

In reply, an unbeaten 53 from Ross Aucott eased Wolverhampton to a six-wicket success with 13 balls in hand.

West Bromwich Dartmouth were left frustrated in their rain-interrupted clash against Kenilworth Wardens.

Sarmad Bhatti took 3-6 to leave Wardens in all sorts of trouble at 48-9 off 34 overs, with two wickets each for Aaron Patel and Kadeer Ali.

But the Warwickshire side declared when there wasn't enough time for Dartmouth to receive the minimum 20 overs needed for a result.

The battle between the top two in Division One was halted after Smethwick were dismissed for 164 in 52.4 overs at Walsall.

Sunny Sharma top scored with 48 with Paul Byrne (3-36) and Ed Denham (3-46) among the wickets.

A closely-fought derby saw Old Hill earn a winning draw from their home match with Himley.

Jimmy Howell (49) and Hamza Ahmed (48) guided Old Hill to 158-7 with Arfan Khan taking 3-47 for the visitors.

After another brief interruption, the Himley innings was reduced to 28 overs and they finished on 144-8 with Wasim Jaffer unbeaten on 63. Nigel Davenport put the brakes on with 5-58.

In a match reduced to 38 overs a side, Division Two leaders Bridgnorth reached 179-9 against Halesowen. Eddie Rhodes took 3-32 for Halesowen, who struggled to 110-9 in reply.

Penkridge clattered 275-7 against Wombourne, helped by 55 from Kieran Smith, 54 form Paul Szewczyk and 45 from Rana Hassan, with Dan Vernon snapping up 3-75 for Wombourne.

In reply, an undefeated 74 from Ian Walker lead Wombourne to 207-5 from 47 overs at the close.

Coventry & North Warwickshire reached 187-5 in 38 overs at Stourbridge.

Jitesh Jivan-Patel took four of the five wickets to fall for 50. Stourbridge lost their first four wickets for 18 then hung on grimly for a losing draw, finishing on 91-9 from their 38 overs.

Brewood dismissed Eastnor for 154, David Wedge taking 4-19, before making 129-9 in reply from 44 overs.

Daniel Rossouw hit 106 as Pelsall moved up to fifth in Division Three with a six-wicket success at Water Orton.

The hosts recovered from 33-4 to 197 all out, Todd Henderson claiming 5-34 before Rossouw's guided Pelsall home.

At Fordhouses, Worcester reached 173 all out in 47 overs as Kashif Hussein claimed 5-38 and Chris Guest 4-40. The hosts reached a revised target of 150-8 from 38 overs for a winning draw.

The match between Cannock & Rugeley Hawks and Steetly was abandoned, after the home side had been dismissed for 119.
