Pics add talented youngsters to squad
Rushall Olympic's squad is beginning to take shape, with the Dales Lane club adding two talented youngsters to their ranks.
Richard Sneekes' men have signed forward Malachi Farquharson from Harrogate Railway and wideman Chad Degville-Cross from Bedworth United.
Farquharson, 22, is a powerfully-built forward with an eye for goal.
Birmingham-born, he moved to Yorkshire for his studies and joined the Brian Deane International Academy for Football and Education.
He quickly moved on to Railway, who played in the Evo-Stik First Division North, where he plundered 23 goals in all competitions last season, despite his campaign beginning in October.
At 6ft 4in, he forged a lethal strike partnership with Nathan Cartman - who top-scored across all of the Evo-Stik divisions.
With his studies bringing him back to Birmingham, Farquharson, who last season had a trial for St Mirren in Scotland, will join the Pics as Sneekes looks to build a squad capable of improving on last season's impressive ninth-place finish.
Winger Degville-cross, 22, is based in Cannock and is an out-and-out wideman continuing to make his name at this level of football.
His career was threatened at a young age through injury, but has since managed to rediscover fitness and form at the likes of Chasetown, Hinkley, Heath Hayes and Coalville Town.
He signed for Bedworth United in December 2013, and played a huge part in the Greenbacks promotion via the play-offs to the Southern Premier Division last season.
They come after ex-Kidderminster Harriers midfielder Michael McGrath, who arrived from Stourport Swifts, was announced as the Pics first summer signing.
