Transfer Rumours - December 19
Expressandstar.com brings you all of the latest transfer talk from Wolves, West Brom, Aston Villa and Walsall.
We are not saying they are true – just that they are out there.
WOLVES
Wolves are planning to loan out Bjorn Sigurdarson in the New Year, with clubs in Europe alerted to the availability of the Iceland striker.
It's also hoped Kevin Foley will extend his loan at Championship club Blackpool until the end of his contract, which expires in the summer.
WEST BROM
West Brom defender Chris Baird could be set for a January transfer window return to Fulham, less than two years after leaving Craven Cottage.
The 32-year-old is behind Joleon Lescott, Jonas Olsson, Craig Dawson and Gareth McAuley in the Hawthorns pecking order and could be loaned out to get him match-fit.
Meanwhile, the Baggies are keeping tabs on Crystal Palace's teenage winger Sullay Kaikai, who has been borrowed by Cambridge United in League Two.
The 19-year-old's first-team path at Selhurst Park is blocked by Wilfred Zaha and Yannick Bolasie, so he could well be allowed to leave.
He has made just one appearance for the Eagles, scoring on his debut in September in a Capital One Cup defeat to Newcastle.
Albion sent scouts to watch him score the winner in Cambridge's 1-0 FA Cup win at Mansfield Town on Tuesday night.
ASTON VILLA
Aston Villa may ask for Andros Townsend on loan until the end of the season, rather than Mousa Dembele, if Tottenham Hotspur continue to pursue Fabian Delph.
Villa are worried about cover for the rest of the campaign if Delph moves to White Hart Lane. With Dembele not interested in a move to the claret and blues, Townsend could fit the bill.
WALSALL
All quiet at the Banks's Stadium today.
Pick that one out - watch reported West Brom target Sullay Kaikai ping in this free-kick playing for the Crystal Palace development side.
