Preston North End are waiting if Saddlers progress
Walsall have been handed a potential FA Cup second-round tie with Preston North End.
The Saddlers, who will first have to overcome Shrewsbury in the first-round replay next Tuesday, watched on last night as their League One counterparts saw off Conference South side Havant & Waterlooville 3-0.
Non-league team Worcester City – who play their home matches at Kidderminster's Aggborough ground – will travel to Scunthorpe while AFC Telford have potentially been handed a tough test against Bristol City, should they overcome Basingstoke in their replay next week.
Second round draw: Oxford United v Tranmere Rovers, Bury v Luton Town, Wrexham v Stevenage or Maidstone, Scunthorpe United v Worcester City, Colchester United v Peterborough United, Wycombe Wanderers v York or AFC Wimbledon, Notts County or Accrington Stanley v Yeovil Town, Hartlepool United v Blyth Spartans, MK Dons v Chesterfield, Dagenham & Redbridge or Southport v Eastleigh, Gateshead v Warrington Town, Oldham Athletic v Weston-super-Mare or Doncaster, Preston v Walsall or Shrewsbury, Barnsley v Chester, Bradford City v Dartford, Crewe Alexandra or Sheffield United v Plymouth Argyle, Cheltenham Town v Dover Athletic, Cambridge United v Mansfield Town or Concord Rangers, Bristol City v Basingstoke or AFC Telford, Portsmouth or Aldershot v Northampton Town or Rochdale. The second-round ties will be played between December 5-8.
