Stourbridge clinch 2-0 Senior Cup victory over Wolves
The Glassboys secured their place in the last eight of the Birmingham Senior Cup as they overcame Wolves' development squad with goals from Will Richards and Roly Agbor.
The Molineux youngsters were technically good and moved the ball around well, but they fell short in the final third as they failed to take the chances that came their way.
Stourbridge opened the scoring after just five minutes.
Sean Geddes delivered a free-kick to the far post and Nathan Bennett won his header to send the ball back across the box for Kayelden Brown to head goalwards, where Richards forced the ball over the line.
The visitors might have drawn level four minutes later as Jim Kellerman slipped the ball through to Robbie Parry on the left-hand side of the box, but keeper Dean Coleman spread himself well to make a blocking save.
On 15 minutes, Ben Billingham's shot forced Wolves keeper Jonathan Flatt into a diving save.
Wolves might have levelled when Eusebio Bancessi won back possession on the right-hand side of the box, but he struck his low shot tamely wide, then just before the break Bradley Reid prodded a shot past the post.
Early in the second half, Reid's goalbound header was deflected for a corner.
The visitors again went close in the 64th minute with the lively Parry showing some great skill to beat Richards, but his angled shot was inches wide.
Eight minutes from time, Stourbridge struck for a second time as a Geddes free-kick was glanced on by Richards with Agbor turning the ball over the line.
