Stourbridge take 1,000 to Stevenage cup-tie
Stourbridge look set to be backed by almost 1,000 fans when they attempt an FA Cup giant-killing at Stevenage this Saturday.
The Glassboys have already sold half their 1,400 allocation for the second- round tie at the Lamex Stadium and hope to sell several hundred more.
With an attendance of around 3,000 expected, it means Stour's following could make up at least a third of the crowd.
Chairman Andy Pountney says memories of the club's recent cup success – they also reached the second round just two years ago and beat Plymouth en route – is fresh in the memory.
"We are pleased with how sales have gone so far and we are hoping to sell a few more in the coming days," he said. "There is a real buzz around the place. Without a doubt memories of two years ago are fresh in the mind."
Tickets are being sold at the Milk Bar on Stourbridge Lower High Street from 11am-5pm. They will also be available at Stour's War Memorial Ground from 7.30pm to 9.30pm on Thursday and again from the Milk Bar on Friday until 2pm.
Prices are £20 for adults, £17 for over-60s, £10 for under-21s and £5 for under-16s. Separate coach tickets are also on sale at the price of £10.
