Penalty agony for sad Romelu Lukaku

Former Albion striker Romelu Lukaku suffered penalty shootout heartbreak in Chelsea's bid to win the European Super Cup.

The Londoners led Bayern Munich 2-1 deep into extra time in Prague only for Javi Martinez to poke home an equaliser with virtually the last kick of the game.

That meant a penalty shootout and after the first nine players all found the net, it fell to the former Baggies loanee to take the tie into sudden death.

But his low, under-strength spot-kick was saved by Manuel Neuer.

Lukaku was devastated, but Chelsea legend Frank Lampard backed him to bounce back, saying: "I feel for him now, but he's going to be a great striker."
