ASTON VILLA
Aston Villa have launched a bid to sign Porto defender Abdoulaye Ba on loan. The Portuguese want a £400,000 loan fee for the 22-year-old Senegal international. Villa, who have shown interest in the player in the past, have competition from Southampton.
Villa left back Enda Stevens has joined Notts County on a 28-day emergency loan. He made his debut for County last night against Liverpool in the second round of the League Cup.
WEST BROM
Albion are still awaiting an increased offer from Swansea for Peter Odemwingie. Swansea remain favourites for Odemwingie's signature despite higher initial offers from Cardiff and Stoke.
