The 25-year-old, from Lower Penn, was injured when the horse she was riding at the Lambourn yard of her boss, trainer Mark Usher, slipped.
"I've fractured two vertebrae and I'll probably be in hospital until the end of the week," said Kneller, who has ridden 36 career winners, eight of them this season.
"They have said they'll put me in a back brace soon and I'm hoping I'll be all right in about six weeks' time, but I really don't know."
