The 18-year-old England Schoolboy international centre-back has joined the Bees after a successful trial.

Morris captained Dave King's young Glassboys side to the FA Youth Cup second- round proper last season and his performances attracted the interest of the League One club.

King said: "It's fantastic news for Kieran, we are all really pleased for him. He deserves it. He has not gone the usual route and has had to really work hard for it. He is absolutely over the moon."

Morris is a former Shrewsbury Town and Stoke City trainee but has been at Stour for the past two-and-half years.

He played for the England Schoolboys in the Centenary Shield Championships earlier this year and made several appearances for the Brentford youth team as a result.

"I think playing for the England Schoolboys really helped him," said King. "It raised his profile and that's when Brentford started looking at him. He obviously had a couple of knockbacks earlier in his career but it just goes to show if you stick at it, you can still realise your dreams."
