Speedway's Elite League leaders Wolverhampton travel to Poole tonight with an unfamiliar side.

Skipper Freddie Lindgren is out injured along with Ty Proctor, and both reserves Ludvig Lindgren and Jacob Thorssell are racing in the Swedish Championship.

Swindon star Edward Kennett has been brought in for Freddie Lindgren, the rider replacement facility covers Proctor's rides and at reserve British youngster Ashley Birks will be joined by Hungarian star Jozsef Tabaka.

Scott Nicholls comes in for tomorrow's trip to Swindon and the reserves will be back for that match.

Parrys International Wolves boss Peter Adams said: "We're hoping we can pick up at least a point from both matches.

"It's unfortunate that we are travelling to two tough venues when we aren't at full strength, but we're still confident we can get a result.

"We've shown recently we can still score points when we have injuries – nobody can argue with what we're doing and we are hoping to add more points this week."

Wolves guest Kennett will link up again with Tai Woffinden on Monday as half of the four-man Great Britain team opening their World Cup campaign at King's Lynn.

They face Sweden, Denmark and the USA with another Wolf, Ricky Wells, in the American line-up.

On the Poole sides, Australians Troy Batchelor and Darcy Ward go to the tapes in Czestochowa on Saturday to tackle Russia, Latvia and the home side with the Pirates' Maciej Janowski in the Poland team.

The two winning sides go straight to the final in the Czech Republic on July 20. The second and third-placed teams contest a race-off for the remaining place.

Tonight's expected line-ups:

Poole: Darcy Ward, rider-replacement for Thomas H Jonasson, Troy Batchelor, Josh Grajczonek, Maciej Janowski, Rohan Tungate, Micky Dyer.

Wolves: Edward Kennett, rider-replacement for Ty Proctor, Ricky Wells, Adam Skornicki, Tai Woffinden, Ashley Birks, Jozsef Tabaka.
