WOLVES

Wolves are apparently willing to offer their nemesis Kevin Phillips - the scorer of many a goal against them - the chance to become their player-coach.

Wolves have also been linked to another surprise move for Bolton defender Sam Ricketts. Molineux chief Kenny Jackett signed him for Swansea in 2004.

WEST BROM

Franco Di Santo is the latest striker in West Brom's sights as they try to replace loan star Romelu Lukaku. The 24-year-old free agent has left relegated Wigan.

ASTON VILLA

Aston Villa are holding out some hope of luring their former captain Gareth Barry back to the club. The 32-year-old made the switch from his first club in 2009.

BIRMINGHAM

Birmingham City have given up on landing Hull defender Jack Hobbs as part of a swap move for Curtis Davies, but are still tracking released Reading striker Simon Church.

WALSALL

All quiet at the Banks's Stadium today.
