Chasetown manager Craig Harris today vowed to use all of the players at his disposal as his approaches his first assignments in charge of the club.

Harris starts out at Sporting Khalsa on Saturday, where he has vowed to give all 16 of his signed squad a run out of, at least, a half of football.

Then comes his first home game at the helm as a strong side from Football League club Crewe come to the Scholars Ground on Monday evening.

A Scholars side of reserves and trialists also go to Midland Alliance side Heath Hayes the following night and Harris will be on the sidelines for all.

Over the three games, supporters will catch new-boys Nick Wellecomme, Gary Hay, Matthew Jukes, Matt Johnson and David Bate in match action.

And the new boss - who replaced Chris Brindley in May - wants to give fans a glimpse into the future with a hard-working and aggressive side.

He said: "Crewe will be hard enough, our lads need some football in their legs but I can't give them too much just yet.

"We are taking the first-team squad on Saturday and they will all get, at least, 45 minutes and they all deserve some football.

"I am excited, I can't wait to get started and, by the time it comes around, the lads will be ready for a game as well.

"There's only so much training you can do, you can't be taking lads along in pre-season and give them no football.

"It will be tough, Khalsa are a very ambitious club with big interests and it's a nice surface at Noose Lane.

"First of all, we want to be very workman-like when we haven't got the ball, but expansive when we do.

"I want us to be an attacking and hungry team with youth on our side and a sprinkling of experience."
