Stafford Rangers are expecting to complete the signing of Christian Dacres when the midfielder comes to Marston Road to seal the deal.
Dacres will train tonight with a view to putting pen to paper afterwards on non-contract forms for a second spell with his hometown club.
It will be ratified with the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League on July 1 but Rushall Olympic, where he spent last season, expect the move.
Pics boss Neil Kitching called it "increasingly likely" the 25-year-old will make the switch, having started his career in the youth ranks at Rangers.
Another Pics performer and ex-Ranger, fellow midfielder Alex Forde, is also due at Marston Road tonight for a trial with boss Greg Clowes.
Clowes said: "Christian is due to train with us tonight as he's been away, but I have got to finalise things with him yet.
"He's imitated that he wants to sign for us and he's a lad who played a big part in Rushall's success story last season.
"Hopefully, I can tie up a few things and we can get the green light on him."
Forde was in the Rangers first-team when they were relegated from the Blue Square North a year ago but fell away again last season.
Clowes said: "Alex is another who will train with us tonight, he was with us last season and wanted to get games at Rushall.
"He's got talent but we have got to get it out of him."
