Chasetown striker Dean Perrow has become the club's first summer exit after relegation as he will be staying in non-league's third tier with Leamington.

The Scholars' top scorer from last season has ended a five-year spell at the club to land another contract with the Evo-Stik League Southern outfit.

Perrow's deal at the Scholars Ground was up and, after relegation from the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League, he has decided to switch divisions.

The forward won the Southern League's golden boot in 2007-08 with 32 goals and netted another 33 the next season in his most prolific runs.

The 28-year-old got 10 goals last season and will be reunited with Leamington boss Paul Holleran, who he played under at Rushall Olympic.

Holleran said: "He's a proven, consistent goalscorer who has also won the golden boot.

"He's a great finisher and has got the enthusiasm and desire to do well.

"He wanted to play in the Southern League and Leamington was a good pull for him.

"We are delighted to have got him."
