Stafford Rangers utility man Dan Skelton could be back in training next week after making a quicker-than-expected return from a hamstring injury.
There were some fears Skelton's season could be over after he had to be helped off in the home game against Bradford Park Avenue two weeks ago.
Rangers had to wait a week for the injury to die down before they could properly assess the problem which, subsquently, revealed there is no tear.
The 22-year-old, who had been playing on the left wing, could start his comeback on the training field next week, boss Greg Clowes revealed.
He said: "Dan had treatment last Saturday and he's hoping to train next week, but whether he does or not is another thing.
"You only judge hamstring injuries when they have settled down and it's not as bad as I thought it was.
"He will have treatment all of this week and train next Tuesday."
The Rangers boss is still looking to add another left winger to the squad, with Jon Sheldon and Fabrice Kasiama both on the sidelines.
Kevin Street filled in for last weekend's 4-1 over Chasetown but Clowes admits it was simply plugging a gap.
He said: "I have made a few calls this week about getting a left winger in, Kevin is filling in but it's a round peg in a square hole.
"I didn't get any luck last week but we keep going, the deadline comes up in two weeks and I know I have got to get somebody in.
"If I get someone in on loan, that's fine, but I am trying to get someone in permanently. That said, we are leaving it a bit late now.
"If we can get someone in until the end of the season, we can look at it again for next year, and it's high in my priorities."
