Stafford Rangers midfielder Michael Carr was today set to miss the return game against Bradford Park Avenue at Marston Road with a foot injury.

Michael Morton stands-by to join the squad and possibly take the place of Carr, for tomorrow's second meeting in seven days between the two sides.

Carr was crocked in last Saturday's 3-1 defeat away from home but central defenders Karl Espley and Ryan Dicker are now fully fit.

Both were laboring last weekend with the lingering effects of injury, Espley with bruised ribs while Dicker was on the bench after an ankle problem.

Rangers are now into single figures for games remaining this season and sit just below halfway in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League.

Manager Greg Clowes read the riot act to his players at full-time in Bradford last time out and today demanded a response.

He said: "We have still got nine games to go and I am still confident we can finish the season off well, then take it from there.

"We have got to perform for 90 minutes like we did in the first-half last Saturday, because I was more than happy at half-time.

"Even then, we had to improve to win, but we had dished out as much as they had thrown at us and we hit the post just before the break.

"I was really disappointed with them in the second-half and I am looking for responses out of people.

"I said to them after 'if you want to be at this football club, you have got nine games to show me that you want to be here.'

"I accepted full responsibility for the defeat but some of that should be falling on the players, as well."
