Rangers duo will miss Ashton clash
Stafford Rangers will be without Ryan Dicker and Peter Heler for the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League visit of Ashton United to Marston Road.
Stafford Rangers will be without Ryan Dicker and Peter Heler for the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League visit of Ashton United to Marston Road.
Dicker has been ruled out of the next two games with an ankle injury, after he was clattered by Matthew McGinn at Chester last Saturday.
Captain Paul Donnelly replaced him at the Deva Stadium and comes into the side tomorrow, but not to replace Dicker at centre-back.
Donnelly instead comes in at right-back for his first start in eight games, so Luke George will shuffle across into the heart of defence.
Glynn Blackhurst is set to replace Heler, who is away on a stag night, after his cameo as a second-half substitute against Chester.
But Anthony Maguire is another candidate for the role and will join the squad in place of Heler, after seven matches out of the fold.
Ashton are not yet out of trouble from relegation and Rangers boss Greg Clowes believes his side could be facing "a wounded animal" on Saturday.
He said: "What we need to do now is start putting teams like Ashton away, showing the sort of form we have done lately.
"But it won't be easy, Ashton are a struggling side but I would compare them to a wounded animal and they will come to fight.
"They have got plenty to do to get themselves out of the situation they are in and they will know that when they come here."
