Stafford Rangers manager Greg Clowes insists there's no way his team will be "parking the bus" at Evo-Stik Northern Premier League leaders Chester.

Rangers go to the Deva Stadium tomorrow where they have already lost once this season, a 2-0 defeat in the FA Trophy last November.

But Clowes' men are unbeaten in their last four games coming into play, with the Rangers boss the Manager of the Month of January.

Their last fixture saw them take a point at third-placed Chorley and the Marston Road chief wants to show their hosts how far they have come.

He said: "We are not going to park the bus up, we are going there to win. The best form of defence is attack against Chester.

"We played one up front against them in the trophy but we won't be doing that tomorrow, it will be an attack-minded approach.

"Let's see if we can get their goalkeeper working, like we did at Chorley, and let's see if their back four are OK.

"We know they have got a potent strike force but let's see if they can defend against us."

Rangers will be hoping to make it third time lucky against Chester this season, who won 3-0 at Marston Road in the league last September.

Clowes added: "When we played Chester at home in the league, that was probably the only game this season where I have felt we were truly out of it.

"In the other 27 games, we were always in with a chance because most of them have been tight."

Rangers will make one change with Rob Stevenson partnering Chris Morris up front in place of Neville Thompson, who has signed for Airbus.

Tomorrow's game is subject to a 11am pitch inspection but Chester's players have been able to train on the pitch this week.
