Stafford Rangers striker Chris Morris will take his place in the squad for the trip to Chorley as the 'baby boom' at Marston Road subsides.

Morris had to dash off at half-time after scoring on his home debut last weekend because his girlfriend Claire had gone into labour.

But, with mother and baby doing fine, the 22-year-old trained last night and will start tomorrow's Evo-Stik Northern Premier League clash.

Left-back Jon Patrick also became a father on Tuesday, missing the chance to push for a place in a friendly at Eccleshall that night.

Patrick will have the weekend to spend with his family as he will not travel tomorrow, with boss Greg Clowes is set to name an unchanged squad.

Rangers have put together three straight wins for the first time this season and Clowes is sticking by his players at the fourth-placed hosts.

He said: "We are looking forward to it and we know we have got nothing to be scared of, my lads won't be frightened.

"We are going there to win but Chorley are fourth in the league because they have been consistently good throughout the season.

"They have had problems but they really haven't lost anyone since they came to us at the start of the season.

"Our team has changed a lot and I think we are better now."

Chorley won 1-0 at Marston Road last August, stinging Rangers with Adam Roscoe's 82nd minute free-kick.

Garry Flitcroft's men took the points with Rangers arguably the better side and Clowes wants revenge tomorrow.

He said: "What we have to do it is put in a similar sort of display but, this time, take our chances.

"We dominated that game from start to finish but we couldn't score - and then they scored from a free kick.

"The least we deserved was a point and we ended up with nothing."
