Stafford Rangers will today have permission to speak to Jon Patrick about a return to Marston Road after making a seven-day approach to Rushall Olympic.

Patrick left Marston Road for Dales Lane in the summer, after falling out of the first-team picture when Tim Flowers was manager last season.

But current Rangers boss Greg Clowes is keen to bring the former Walsall youngster back for a second spell, as he is currently operating without an out-and-out left-back.

Clowes has also offered Fabrice Kasiama, another member of last season's team, non-contract terms after the left-sided winger joined back up with them for training.

The manager has been without a specialist left-back since loanee Andy White returned to Crewe, after picking up a knee injury.

But the 19-year-old should be back fit again over the next fortnight and is wanted back at Marston Road.
