Stafford Rangers defender Ryan Dicker has been ruled out of the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League clash at Burscough on Saturday.

Dicker returned to training on Tuesday night with a light cast on his right hand, which was broken in two places at Chasetown four weeks ago.

The 25-year-old now has a metal plate inserted into his hand and boss Greg Clowes wants him mentally over the injury before he plays again.

Captain Paul Donnelly has also suffered a setback with his hamstring problem, again picked up at Chasetown, so hasn't rejoined the squad.

Donnelly instead joined Clowes for a fans forum at Marston Road on Tuesday night but could be back in training next week.

Wing-back Jon Sheldon is another doubt for Saturday's game, with the long-standing knee problem that has forced him to miss the last two games.
