Coseley's Tommy Ghent will be looking to do what Kell Brook has done when he boxes on a Sky Sports bill for the first time.

Ghent will contest four rounds on the undercard of hometown hero Brook's defence of the WBA Inter-Continental title at the Ponds Forge Arena in Sheffield tonight.

And the 19-year-old has been learning from the master after travelling down to the Steel City to spar with Brook ahead of fight night.

The teenage ace dreams of becoming the British champion while 'Special Kell' has been there and done it and, at age 25, has already won a Lonsdale belt outright.

His path is the one Ghent has just started on in what will be his second professional fight and 'the Gladiator' plans to follow his lead.

He said: "Kell is very strong and really sharp, he's so relaxed and fluent and picks his shots well, he's brilliant and reads the fight so well.

"That's the way I want to box and he told me I have got brilliant reactions."

Ghent will be in there with Nick Coret tonight, a Mauritius-born southpaw now based in Cleethorpes.

The bout comes just two weeks after Ghent knocked out Walsall's Danny Clews in the second round of his pro debut at the Tower Ballrooms in Birmingham.

It represents a chance of stance for 'Tommy Gun' but he insists he prefers to tackle left-handed fighters.

He said: "I am looking forward to getting in there and doing the business again. I have been sparring with southpaws but I am used to them.

"I prefer fighting southpaws to an orthadox opponent, I find it easier to throw shots from all sorts of angles.

"I was thrilled last time, I felt so relaxed, took my time and everything came naturally to me.

"I didn't really feel nervous, I was more nervous the night before than I was on the night!"
