Kidderminster Harriers midfielder Kyle Storer today insisted he will support whoever replaces him on Saturday - but is adamant his red card should not have stood.

Storer was sent off with 11 minutes of Tuesday's 1-1 draw with Grimsby at Aggborough on Tuesday night and misses the weekend trip to Kettering.

The 24-year-old accepts his challenge on Serge Makofo warranted a second booking but has taken issue with the first booking, given for a foul on Michael Coulson.

Nonetheless, Storer and the club have accepted the one-match ban for the dismissal and the team will press on without him in Saturday's Blue Square Premier match.

Scott Phelan could be the grateful recipent of a start after being dropped for the last two games and, if that's the case, Storer will be cheering him on from the stands.

He said: "I've watched the first yellow card over and over and I am convinced it is not a foul.

"I have no problem with the second one because the lad has done me with some quick feet, so I'm disappointed to have to watch from the stands on Saturday.

"But that is what the squad is for and, on a personal level, I am glad in a way that it was for the two yellows rather than dissent, as it has been at times in the past.

"We're all good mates here and we're pushing for one goal and that's promotion - whoever plays in that shirt on Saturday will have my full support."
