Kidderminster Harriers striker Tommy Wright will belatedly join the squad for the Blue Square Premier game against Grimsby at Aggborough after his debut was delayed.

The former Leicester forward signed as a free agent last Thursday, after his release from league rivals Darlington, and was expected to be involved at Mansfield on Saturday.

But his partner gave birth over the weekend, forcing him out of the game, although the 26-year-old is available for tonight's clash.

However, Wright may be on the bench as Nick Wright and Jamille Matt started on Saturday, with Marc Williams involved as a substitute.

Fellow striker Steve Guinan is two games into a three-match suspension, while winger David Hankin and midfielder James Vincent are doubts.

Both missed the Mansfield trip with ankle and groin injuries respectively and Hankin has little chance of recovering in time, although the club's medical staff are more hopeful on Vincent.

Steve Burr's men host a Grimsby side struggling in 17th place in the Blue Square Premier after 11 games, although the Harriers boss insists the Mariners have enough quality to be a threat tonight.

He said: "They haven't had the start to the season they would have liked. Like all teams are now, they will come and make things difficult for us.

"We know that it will be up to us to be ready for that and try and get the result we want."

Harriers' game against Grimsby tonight will be screened live on satellite television channel Premier Sports.
