England's under-fire rugby stars today vowed put their recent off-the-pitch troubles at the World Cup behind them as they prepare to take on Georgia tomorrow.
The players were embroiled in controversy last Sunday when they were photographed enjoying a night in Queenstown's Altitude Bar, which was staging a 'Mad Midget Weekend' hosted by a Sydney-based business called Little Man Entertainment.
The England squad had been given Sunday night and Monday off by manager Martin Johnson, who approved the players' decision to go out and "have a few beers" as a way of relieving the pressure of the World Cup.
But England winger Chris Ashton was keen to play down the incident and believes if anything it has boosted team spirit in the squad.
